General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is not normal to have ongoing cramping and sharp burning pain after having your appendix removed. This could be a sign of a complication or infection. It is best to contact your surgeon or primary care physician for an evaluation. If the pain is severe or accompanied by other symptoms such as fever or vomiting, it may be necessary to go to the emergency room. It is always better to be safe and have a professional check it out.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
