What Causes Burning And Tightening Sensation In Chest?

I have been having burning in my chest that occurs when I am walking quickly and feel a tightening and pulling in the back of my throat and in the lower sinus region. We thought it was possible esophageal reflux. I have been taking Nexium over-the-counter for the past 3 weeks and there seems to be little to no change. My doctor said my lungs seemed clear and my heart was okay. As soon as I stop walking fast, it calms down. I had been eating before bedtime and caught myself having acid reflux up into my throat which is why we thought it may have been related.

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, in my opinion you are having GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
Along with drugs, you should follow these lifestyle modifications for better symptomatic relief in GERD.
1. Avoid stress and tension.
2. Avoid hot and spicy food.
3. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
4. Go for walk after meals.
5. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in the bed to prevent reflux.
6. Avoid smoking and alcohol, if you are having these habits.
7. Loose weight if you are obese.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.
