What Causes Burn Feeling While Urination With Blood In Urine?

Hi, I have been researching and think I may have a urinary tract infection. I have a burning feeling when urinating and there is blood in my urine. I also have pain in my clitoris when im not urinating. I was wondering if you could tell me what i should do. Im 17 years old, average height and weight and have a good medical history.

Hi,

Highly concentrated urine is highly acidic and may irritate the mucosa of uretra while urinating and as urine being passed it soothes the irritation and while not passing urine the irritated area is inflamed minimally causing burning sensation which regress quickly in 20-39 minutes. I recommend you to do the following steps:

- drink plenty of fluids and fresh fruit juices
- potassium citrate solution 5ml thrice daily in a cup of water
- eat some overnight water soaked fenugreek seeds every morning

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dhamodhara Pandian
