What Causes Bruising On Hip After A Fall?

I fell the other night on e corner of coffee table. I woke up with a big bruise. a few days later I now have a large that has swollew. But its more to the side and top f my hip. I also have some very sharp pains. Like being electrocuted. Not possible to even bend over to dyr my feet

thank you for asking your concern and welcome to HCM. this can happen any any kind of injury but more in case of fall and more if fell on hip side. this may be either a hematoma that is collected ooze of blood inside skin or an abscess. in both the situation similar pain will be there. but in abscess fever will be there unless it is a cold abscess. in either case no need to worry. i would suggest you to please consult your doctor. first aspiration with syringe is necessory to check whether any of above is there or not and if it is then incision and drainage is the only safe method for this. please do not take antibiotics at it may form an antibioma and then drainage will be difficult.
