What Causes Brownish Red Bleeding After Endometriosis And Depo Shot?
I am a 28 year old female with endometriosis that has had surgery to remove it in January of this year; however, was told after a few months that since I was still bleeding and having a period there was a chance it has grown back. I have been given both control pills, the lupron shot and am currently on the depo shot to stop my period. None of which has completely stopped it. I was given the depo shot on August 27th and I didn t have a period in September. I had brownish red discharge and some blood that started the first week of October and 5 days later I started a period that lasted 5 days. I still have the brownish red discharge and it is now November. I still have stomach pains randomly and I m wondering do I need to continue the depo shot and do I need to be re-evaluated to see if my endometriosis has grown back?

Hi, I understand your concern. Actually Lupron depot is used for endometriosis patients having excessive bleeding. In first few weeks starting depot shot, the symptoms may persist, but they are controlled there after It's nearly two months you are on Luperon, so I would suggest for re evaluation as you are planning. Thanks.
