What Causes Breathing Difficulty While Suffering From COPD?

frail, elderly lady unable to fully breathe in her advair, so they discontinued it. she does breathing treatments twice a day but they got rid of her inhalers since she can t get a good puff. she has an expiratory squeak-not really a wheeze and a cough plus morning mucus/phlegm that we worry about. is there another way to deliver her medication besides inhaler which she can t use effectively? is there a better med for her? she has copd. she is on brovana now and duoneb twice a day. would an aerochamber/spacer help her ?

Hi,

In my opinion, you should use nebulizer twice a day and mucolytics. Also stop smoking as soon as possible. drugs for nebulizer will be a inhaled steroid plus inhaled bronchodilator and that you are already on.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
