The last 3 nights I've had to get up from bed and spit up because there's been blood in my mouth. It is not from coughing or congestion. I feel fine (besides a slight headache). I checked my gums and it doesn't look like the blood is coming from brushing my teeth too hard. There is only one or two spits a night with a little bit of blood. I don't want to book an appointment with my doctor if it isn't necessary. Thanks.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain if you do not have any signs of illness but you still have blood in mouth and you do not have even gum infection then it should be taken into immediate medical attention s blood in mouth can be due to a number of conditions like problems related to lungs like Bronchitis, bronchiectesis, pulmonary embolism, use of anticoagulant medicines [blood thinners]. It can also be due to malignant conditions like tumours. Other conditions related to oral structures like gum infection can lead to bleeding at night in case if you also have mouth brething habit.. You should consult a general physician as well as an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a proper clinical evaluation and investigations as per the provisional diagnosis will help in planning a proper treatment..
Hope this information helps..
