My daughter is 15, has recently had ultrasound, showed abnormal bladder wall, debris on ultrasound. No infections noted, but did find a small amount of blood in urine....any suggestions as to what this may be??? She is going to see a urologist soon.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The most common reason of blood in urine with abnormal bladder wall is underlying cystitis, urethra obstruction, or else which can be present without infection. A diagnostic cystoscopy would be of immense importance in this regards.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Difficult to say, it could be bladder diverticula, but I would need the ultrasonography note to say anything. It is rarely anything dangerous in children.
