What Causes Blood In Urine After Taking Birth Control Pills?

Hi Doctor, Today I realized I missed two birth control pills so I took them immediately. Then a couple of hours later I went to the bathroom to pee and blood came out with the urine. I have been peeing all day and bleeding and I feel like my cervix hurts. But this has never happened before. Can it be kidney stones or something worse?

Hi,

Oral contraceptives need to be taken regularly at fixed time of a day and without a break. The bleeding you have is during to irregular intake of pills. You can continue with the pack for remaining days but it's needed to use barrier contraceptives for a week after the break. If you find pregnancy due to irregularity, please terminate the pregnancy, for the pills are hazardous for pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
