What Causes Blood In Stool?

Hi, I had found bright red blood in my stool twice, the first time was two days ago and then today. I have really irregular eating habits and most of the time I ignore breakfast, lunch and dinner schedules..I eat according to my mood..but usually even if I'm hungry, I don't eat. My toilet habits are irregular too and I usually have stool that are not solid. What could this be? Thanks. Dean

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The color and consistency of stool is depend upon the diet, and it may not be the blood-stained stool if no other associated symptoms are there, like abdominal pain, or cramp.

If this is Constipation, then blood stain stool is likely, even if at all this is the blood, then it may be nonspecific.

If the symptoms are persistence or if you noticed the blood every time you defecate, then condition demands the investigation, because it could be an inflammatory disease of the colon, maybe something serious.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
