What Causes Blood In Sputum After Coughing?
I few months ago I coughed and a large blood tinged tissue goo thing. The doctor said he thinks it might have been a throat scab?? Before it came out I felt that there was something in my throat and made it hard for me to swallow. I feel like I have the same thing again. What can I do to get rid of it?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of blood in sputum after coughing which is known as hemoptysis. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like Bronchitis , Lung abscess, Lung cancer , Emphysema , Mitral valve stenosis and acid reflux can produce such symptoms. Well this condition need immediate medical attention. I would suggest you to consult chest specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , chest X-ray , bronchoscopy , physical examination , biopsy and complete blood count . Doctor may prescribe for treatment as per diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics for pneumonia or tuberculosis , chemotherapy and/or radiation for lung cancer, steroids for inflammatory conditions or refer you to gastroenterologist if he find problem to be related with acid reflux .
