What Causes Blocked Nose Along With Sores In Nose?

I have had a stuffy nose and sores inside my nose for several weeks. I seem to recall the inside of the nose hurting after I picked my nose.... perhaps an infection ? however, the other nostril also has the same thing.
Its winter here so the air is very dry and perhaps is slowing the healing process.
What's going on ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain blisters inside the nose can be most probably be due to infection inside the nose and can be caused due to bacterial or viral infection..
As you also have stuffy nose it can be most probably due to viral infection causing cold sores and is caused by Herpes Simplex Virus 1..
Other common cause for occurrence of blisters inside the nostrils seems to be due to bacterial infection caused by Staphylococcus bacteria causing Impetigo..
I would therefore suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like nasal swab culture, nasal endoscopy and blood test can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
For viral infection you can be advised anti viral medication like Acyclovir..
You can also be given saline nasal sprays and decongestants to relieve stuffiness and congestion..
In case of bacterial infection antibiotics can be advised..
