There several reasons for painful blisters with itching and most common causes are
Friction
Contact dermatitis
Burns
Allergic eczema
Impetigo
Chickenpox
Shingles, or herpes zoster
The blisters should be examined and detailed history regarding the rash is required to make the diagnosis and treat the condition.
