What Causes Bleeding And Pain During Sex After Hysterectomy?
i had a hysterectomy 7 weeks ago (robotic vaginal) and got clearance for vaginal sex yesterday. My partner and I had sex much more gently than usual - prob 75% of typical penetration and rate less than 50% of our typical sex. Even though we were slow and gentle I had bleeding and pain. Now I am worried I wasnt healed and afraid to have sex again.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Pain and bleeding after intercourse post vaginal hysterectomy can be due to injury to the stitches, however in seven weeks time, the stitches heal completely.
I would suggest you to get examined by your operating surgeon so that exact cause can be found out and appropriate management can be done.
