Hello,
Your symptoms are indicative of side effects of Cilest birth control pills.
Abdominal pain, fluid retention, slight bleeding or
spotting between periods in the first few months, lighter periods or sometimes stopping of periods may occur due to
hormonal changes of the body. Once the body gets adjusted to birth control pills the symptoms slowly get reduced and go away.
Hormonal changes in some women may increase the blood pressure. It can also put you at risk for
blood clots. You are suggested to control weight and do regular exercises to reduce your symptoms. To ease cramps you can take Spasmol (
Spasmoproxyvon), one SOS when needed. Since you are bleeding irregularly, you are suggested to take home made nutritious food rich in iron, calcium, protein, etc. Stay away from stress and take adequate rest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
