What Causes Bleeding After Normal Periods?

September I got a regular/normal period, two weeks afterwards I got what I thought was a normal period. Heavy at first, but then light and it only lasted three days, compared to my normal cycle which is about 6. Thought it could ve been implantation bleeding since I was sexually active and could ve been pregnant. Tested negative twice on a home pregnancy test. Still didn t believe because I ve had a bunch of pregnancy symptoms. Got what I think is a period again on Monday, but now it s ending only three days later, AGAIN. Am I pregnant or not? Or am I just having irregular periods?

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. In the current scenario, it is more likely that you could be experiencing hormone imbalance. Pregnancy is unlikely since you are experiencing recurrent self-limiting bleeding episodes. Home pregnancy tests read well when performed with a fresh early morning sample 3-7 days after the missed period. The blood test is better as it can be performed earlier, is more specific and also sensitive. Please see a specialist for a proper appraisal of your situation and plan further management. Hope this helps.
