What Causes Balance Issue, dilated Pupils And Sweating?

I have had migraines for 25 years & now I have some kind of balance issue. Yesterday, my son stated that that my pupils were dilated & I was sweating & felt as if I was going to fall down. My doctor believes that I ave migraine associated vertigo but, I don t believe so. My sister died when she was 16 of a brain tumor. I have had this problem for 3 months & it s not getting better. Because I don t have insurance, they have placed me on a waiting list to have an MRI brain. It s not until 7/24/2012. I am really worried! I canot walk. It only effects me when I m standing.

Hello,

You have a family history of brain tumor. Presently you are experiencing sweating associated with dilated pupils and balance issue. It is indicative of serious medical issues that are caused due to brain tumor, substance abuse (Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamine, etc), chemical toxins, poisons, cerebral edema, brain aneurysms, stroke, head trauma, etc.

Balance issue is also caused by vertigo. Since you are having co-ordination problems avoid driving or doing any heavy work. Stay at rest. Get MRI brain done at the earliest. You can get an audiometry test done and get clinically examined by an ENT. If it is vertigo, you will be treated with medicines and will feel better.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
