What Causes Arthritis And Swelling In The Feet?

Recently been diagnosis with arthritis. Blood work negative for RA, B12, thyroid and iron all good. I was told regular excersie and Aleive or Tylenol for pain but, I have having swelling in my feet and ankles. When walking feels like the balls of my feet are going to bust out. What could be cause the swelling and feeling in my feet? YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

Ostheoarthritis which is arthritis that develops with age and especially in overweight patients may cause swelling in the joints that it is affecting.
it should not cause redness or local heat though so if you notice any redness or local heat you will need to see your doctor again.
Other causes of the swelling especially if it affects the shins and not just the joints, might be due to varicose veins, heart problems, kidney and liver issues and also medications. If you have swelling on the shins you will need to talk with the doctor and rule out the conditions mentioned above.
