What Causes An Open Ulcer On The Sole Of The Foot?

I have an open ulcer on the bottom of my foot. It does not appear to be infected because there is no color change however it is not healing and in addition bleed when I put pressure on it by walking. There is no pus discharge and the skin around it is not black however I am also running a slight fever. Just have lab work done 2 days ago and everything came back normal. I also feel like I have a fever because my head is hot and my appetite has been decreased. What is causing this?
