What Causes An Itchy, Red Bump On The Scrotum?

I have a small red, pimple like bump on my scrotum. Just appeared about a week ago. Have been taking a shower twice a day and putting Lamisil on on it which pretty much solves the itch but not the bump. I'm monogamos and have not had another sex partner in over 35 years.
