Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of lack of sense of taste and smell after treating sinusitis, well this not an uncommon thing and it usually takes 3-4 months to retain its normal functions.

Need not to worry. Nasal irrigation and saline nasal spray play important role during this period, which prevent the recurrence of infection and bad taste and foul smell. Chew on sugar free candies to stimulate salivary flow and do warm saline gargles. If foul smell persist for longer time , get worse then consult your ENT surgeon for proper examination. Doctor may perform otoscopic examination to check what's wrong and can start treatment accordingly.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
