What Causes Acne On The Back After Stopping Birth Control Pills?

Ever since I got off of birth control, I have had acne on my back and chest (this varies from extreme to light) and I have not been able to lose weight when I workout regularly and eat well. The weight seems to be in my stomach, love handles and hips. I have been off the pill for almost 2 years now.

Hi..

The symptoms seems to be due to hormonal imbalances that can occur due to long term intake of birth control pills and then withdrawing suddenly..

Also you should once get your thyroid profile done..

Apply topical ointment containing Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide..
Apply retinoids like Adapelene gel in thin layer on pimples at night time..
Do cool compresses over face..
Exfoliateor scrub twice a week to unclog the pores and remove dead skin..
Oral Medication like antibiotics like Clindamycin or Minocycline and retinoid like Isotretinoin can also be advised
Avoid oily food..

-Start with daily brisk walk in the morning for about 45 minutes, you can start with thirty minutes and increase to 45..
-Join some cardio exercises like Aerobics, yoga etc..
-You can start taking warm water with honey and lemon in morning and warm water at night after meals..
-Take food in small portions and eat every after 2 to 3 hours..
-Do not eat late at night..
-You should also keep patience as it will not loose your weight in a month and can take about 4 to 5 months to see apparent difference..
- Add cinnamon in your vegetables and foods as it helps in improving metabolism..
-Cut down on carbohydrates and add more of fibers like salads and also proteins like pulses in diet..
-Eat green leafy vegetables, preferably cooked in very little oil..
If you want faster results then you need to consult a Physical trainer and go for weight training and muscle strengthening exercises along with above explained home remedies..

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
