What Causes Acidity And Bright Yellow Colored Stool?

The last time I went to the toilet for a poo it was a bright yellow colour and acidy which burnt a little and very runny (I usually go once Dailey in the morning unless I have eaten lactose). - this happened Friday afternoon ( it s now Sunday evening). On Friday night I had a very high fever but was urinating fine and keeping down liquids despite feeling nausea. I had lower back pain and aches over my legs and knees in particular (Friday and Saturday morning) I took two panadols on saturday and the fever went as well as the aches decreased. I have very bad abdominal cramps and am still not able to go for a number 2 - my throat hurts to swallow as does my right ear. I am not hungry which is very unlike me (I am obese).

Hi,
I can understand your concern.

I would like to appreciate you for maintaining adequate hydration during your illness.

After going through your case there may be stomach and upper respiratory tract infection.

I will advise you to consult your doctor.
There is need for clinical examination of your Ear, nose, throat, respiratory and abdominal system.
Following investigations may be advisable in your case depending upon findings of clinical examination.
1) Blood tests: Complete blood count, ESR, Kidney and Liver function test.
2) Urine and stool examination.
3) Imaging:
- Chest X ray.
- Abdominal X ray in standing position.
- Ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis.
- If required there may be need for CT abdomen depending on above test results.

As far as treatment is concerned
You may require
1) Antibiotics.
2) Antispasmodic and pain killers with antacids and prokinetic.
3) Decongestant and antihistaminics with steam inhalation
4) Maintain adequate hydration.
5) Avoid solids, spicy, oily food. Have liquid to semisolid food.

Hope this may help you, if so do vote.
