What Causes Absence Of Periods?

I have pcos...I dnt get my periods for four months..so I took meprate tablet for ten days...one tablet daily...even after fifteen days I dnt get period..so doctor took scan..there was a dominant follicle in left ovary..doctor gave ovral G tablets twice daily for five days...it s been five days but I dent get periods..how long shd I wait

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. PCOS presents with irregular and prolonged menstrual cycles,. It usually responds to meprate, however if you have not got periods even after meprate , then you should have taken higher dose of meprate to induce withdrawal bleeding. Taking oral contraceptive pills are unlikely to help you if taken for short interval, you should take it for complete21 days to induce withdrawal bleeding.
