What Causes Abnormal Vision After Suffering Head Injury?

My girl friend hit her head yesterday and is know seeing what looks like is a C with like shape in it and can close eyes and see it in color then she closes her eyes and still sees it We went to the hospital last night and they did not say anything about it

1. Increased Pressure inside Skull
2. Injury to Eye Socket
3. Injury to nerve
4. Injury to Iris

I would want to ensure she has not sustained any retinal injury or detachment following her head injury. If she was cleared from a "head injury" point-of-view at the hospital, then she would benefit from getting her eyes assessed by an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) to exclude retinal detachment.
