Hello, * As per my clinical experience,the stabbing pain while intercourse do indicate grave underlying problem and its not normal . * There are lots of cases with endometriosis pelvis region, in which deep penetrating sex irritate the underlying structures involved in the endometriosis pathology and provoke severe, sharp pain. * If the ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis is normal or not revealing any positive signs, a diagnostic laparoscopy is the best way to produce the final diagnosis and cure accordingly. * Primary relief with intake of antispasmodic medicine as dicyclomine and avoidance of highly penetrative sex.
