What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Heartburn While On Nexium?
Hi, I m currently on 40 MG of Nexium that I take in the morning. I had an upper and lower GI and nothing significant was found. The GI Doc even said I could go off the nexium. Anyway, for the last 8 days I ve had severe bloating, nausea, gas and heartburn. Is this normal? I have it even when I don t eat! Its really depressing since there doesn t seem to be anything anyone can do to make me feel better.

Heartburn is really fastidious, and requires long term treatment. Plus, should keep a strict diet by avoiding foods/drinks that would aggravate heartburn. Nexium alone can't help. You need to take antacids after eating, and simethicone for bloating. To me, should keep regular follow up with your caring doctor.
