What Causes A Vaginal Discharge After Intercourse With Cramping And Tender Breasts?
Hi, I have had a light pink/brown discharge for about 4 days now. I had intercourse on the 31st of July/1st of august. I am meant to be due for my period this weekend but I have experienced this discharge. I also have slight cramps and tender breasts which are common before my period also. I am wondering if it could be implantation bleeding?
Hi there, My opinion after reading your query is: 1) Vaginal discharge before periods is commonly due to pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS). However, implantation bleeding also occurs at around the time of periods. So it could be implantation bleeding too. 2) Breast tenderness and cramping are not reliable signs of pregnancy. 3) My suggestion is that you wait for your periods to come. 4) In case you miss your periods, you can get a urine pregnancy test done and see. If that is negative, you can get a blood test called serum beta HCG or even an ultrasound.
I hope this was helpful. Regards, Dr. Shikha Shah
