What Causes A Stringy White Discharge Through The Vagina?

Hi, I am in search of good advice. About 2 weeks ago me and my spouse were sexully active. We do a lot of fore play and try to spice things up. We never use pertection. Ive noticed about a week or so ago a clear stringy discharge started to leak from my vagina. It will stop and start whenever it feels the need to. What could this possibly be? Should I be worried about pregnancy? What should I do about this problem?

Hi,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. If you have always had regular menstrual cycles, you had the sexual intercourse during the fertile period. Ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next cycle. As you do not use any protection, your chances of conception are high. The stringy discharge could be an implantation bleeding. To clarify, you can get the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titers now or wait for your next natural period and get a HPT 3-7 days later if you miss it. A trans-vaginal sonogram one week after the missed period clarifies the situation. Further management can be planned accordingly. Hope this helps.
