What Causes A Slow-growing Lump On The Soft Palate?

Hi I have a very slow-growing lump on the left side of my soft palate (just under a half inch wide). I first saw this in the beginning of April, and I ve been to the doctor twice. I have had earaches on and off for a couple months in the left ear but they go away. I also noticed that I get really hot at night now-a-days (not super sweaty but sweaty) which is odd for me since I used to be consistently cold at night. I am very tired every day for at least a month now, but I have an 8 month old, so I ve been tossing it up to that. I don t know what s all related, but they ruled out bacterial infection at the doctor s office. The roof of my mouth is a little yellow. I did smoke for 16 years, but I ve been smoke-free for about a year and a half now. Should I be worried? What are the possible causes of this lump? Thank you for your time.

Hi,

Dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them. so I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, a localized infection like a boil or a collection of lymph cells from an infection or an ulcer from localized infection (mostly a virus) are some possibilities.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wish you the best recovery.

Regards,
