What Causes A Red Spot On The Leg?

I have a red spot on my leg, it showed up the other day, it is a tiny scab, and has now turned very red. It only hurts when I touch it. It doesn t itch. I have used cortizone on it and that kind of burned. The part that has scabbed is at the top, and the rest of it is a small circle, smaller than the size of a dime. Antibiotic doesn t bother it. We do live out in the country. Could it be a spider bite? It looks like a ring, but not like ringworm, the outer skin is kind of dry now.

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you keep it as it is for a few days. It may be some sort of allergic reaction due to an insect bite if it doesn’t go then visit a dermatologist so that it will be checked up properly for further management. For now, you can take Avil tablet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
