What Causes A Lump In The Throat?

my 32 year daughter has a cough for the last 3-4 mos, in the last few weeks has developed what feels like a lump in her throat. treated with steroids 3 different times that didn t help and is taking protonics that have not helped. not sure what kind of doctor should she see.
