Hi. Unchanged elliptical shape homogenous nodule in left breast 8 o clock position, 25.5 x 10 x 25.5 mm. Nodule previously measured 27x23x10mm. Well defined thin capsule which is mildly lobulated. Good through transmission no post acoustic shadowing. The nodule is septated. There is well defined parenchyma vascularity in its more superficial margin. There is a smaller hypoechoic nodule 9 o clock position 5.6x3.4x4.6. Post acoustic shadowing, no increased vascualarity on colour flow challenge. Right breast ultrasound within normal ranges. Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello. Thanks for asking on healthcaremagic. Any swelling in the breast should be ruled out by FNAC. FNAC is fine needle aspiration cytology. In this a pathologist inserts a fine bore needle into the swelling and aspirates few cells which are smeared on slides, stained and examined under a microscope. It might be anything ranging from a fibroadenoma to a malignancy or simply an infective abscess. It is always better and the norm to obtain a pathological diagnosis in these cases. So get an FNAC done. Thanks. Hope I helped you out.
