What Causes A Hard Lump On The Shoulder?

I have a small hard lump on my right front side right under my shoulder blade it aches down into my breast and through the back of my shoulder I am a 53 year old woman and I exercise on a daily basis so at first I thought that this may have been caused by exercise. I'm just a bit concerned about what it may be

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You may have some soft tissue tumor like lipoma, neurofibroma or dermatofibroma. Or some enlarged and stout muscle. You should go for examination. If needed go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of lump. It will give you exact diagnosis.
Then you should take treatment accordingly.
