What Causes A Dark Centered Hard Blister On The Inner Thigh?

Ive had a tiny pimple on my right inner thigh for quite sometime (just 1..only 1.) ...never bothered me so I left it alone. Just recently I caught a good glimpse it and the tip of the pimple looks black to me ..very dark. It also feels a bit dry (the tip) to the touch. Should I have any sort of concern for this? I know many times its just the body releasing what it doesn t need.... I can provide picture of it if you need. Thank you! Pam in TX

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It's due to bacterial infection of hair follicle. There's nothing to worry about unless you get fever or some nodular swellings(lymph nodes) in your groin area. Then you would need an antibiotic. For now your immune system will take care of it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Muhammad Zeeshan Akram
