Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. Im not sure if i am on the right page/thing here. I have found a very large bruise on my lower left back. It doesnt hurt but it extremly big. I have no reason to recall hurting myself. I also have notice clear blue veins on my breats and on my right hip and groin.
Bruises most of the time are incidental and there is not anything to worry. Sometimes we are hurt and we do not remember it. It happens very often to us to have some trauma and not recall it but just notice a bruise we can not explain why it is there. In some other cases there is no trauma that has caused the bruise and these are more important clinically. Generally if it is only one bruise there is nothing to worry. If the bruises repeat than we need to do some tests to make sure everything is OK. In your case if you are concerned there are a few tests that can be done: 1. CBC (complete blood count) and PLT count 2. bleeding time and coagulation time 3. ERS 4. ALT, AST, bilirubine and Albumine in blood If all these tests come out normal than the chance of having something serous is very small. Hope this answers to your question and is helpful to you.
Best regards
Dr Antoneta
