Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Sjogrens Syndrome is an autoimmune disease in which body starts producing antibodies against own body organs leading to their damage and depletion of its function..
In Sjogrens Syndrome mainly Salivary Glands and tear glands are affected leading to classical features of Dry mouth and dry eyes..
Sores in mouth can also be due to Dry mouth that causes thinning and inflammation of the mucosa..
I would suggest you to consult a Rheumatologist and get proper evaluation done and treatment can be done according to the diagnosis..
As of now to relieve dry mouth start using artificial saliva drops..
Chew sugar free chewing gum..
Drink plenty of water..
For sores in.mouth Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
Suck ice pops and do cool water rinses..
Take soft and bland diet..

Hope this helps..

Regards.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have soreness in mouth and you unable to eat which could be due to Sjogren's syndrome in which there is causing dry mouth and dry eyes and reduced salivary gland secretions. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to chew sugar free chewing gums and use artificial saliva drops containing Methyl cellulose as it will lubricate oral cavity. your symptoms are resembling dry mouth i.e Xerostomia. Visit dentist once and get complete examination done and start treatment accordingly. Suck tart candies and ice pops. Avoid spicy and sharp food.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
