What Casues Pain In Lower Ribs?

I always feel very painful stomach pain before the day i spot then period arrives. Its on the lower part of my left ribs. Even a maalox or a heating pad can t ease it. I thought i have a endometriosis but i had my lap 3 months ago (removing dermoid cyst) but they don t find nothing (endo)

Welcome to health care magic,

Pain below left lower rib is actually a epigastic pain.

The causes of epigaric pain could be acute gastritis, refulx esophagitis or gastric ulcer.

If it is just before your menstruation then you will also need to rule out pelvi inflammatory disease.

You should go for routine blood count with ESR,abdominal ultrasound to detect the underlying cause.

You should consult physician for complete history and thoroughly clinical examination.

Treatment is mainly depend on the cause but you may take antacids like proton pump inhibitors (pantoprazole or rabeprazole or esomeprazole) with antispasmodics and digene liquid.
