What Care Should Be Taken When Placenta Is Lying Low In Pregnancy?

Hi.. I am 28 years old, 15 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy. I had little dark brown vaginal discharge since few days and after ultrasonography doctor told me that the placenta is lying low. What care should be taken in this type of situation?

Hi,since you have had brown vaginal discharge you need to be careful.In 90% patients the placenta moves up as the pregnancy advances something called as placental migration,so its not a matter of concern but in the remaining cases it continues to be low lying and is called placenta previa.such patients are at a risk of bleeding p/v.so avoid intercourse,lifting heavy weight and travel.take adequate rest.
