Hi,

Black colour stools may be due to upper GI bleed or iron tablet consumption or bismuth-containing antacids intake or eating of dark vegetables etc.

Please get stool examination is done if blood is positive then upper GI endoscopy with colonoscopy to confirm the diagnosis.

Use tablet Pantoprazole. Avoid spicy food, alcohol consumption, smoking and caffeine drinks.

If symptoms not improved please consult your gastroenterologist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
