What Can Be Side Effects If Glucored Forte Is Taken Over A Long Period ?
what side effects when glucored forte is taken over a long period? I ve been on this medication for close to ayear and I find of late that blood clotting even fron minor abrasions is slow and blood looks thinner .
Hi,
Welcome to HCM!
Thanks for posting your query. I am happy to address your questions. Glucored Forte actually contains Glyburide with Metformin. This combination is used in the treatment of type II diabetes, to help control blood sugar levels. There are, of course, always risk associated with the long-term use of any medication, but the risk is far greater if you let your conditions get out of control. As a possible side effect this drug is a major cause of drug induced hypoglycemia, and also may cause cholestasis as a major side effect. It does not have any direct effect on blood clotting factors. Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to help. Thanks
