What Can Be Done For Swollen Thyroid?

Hello. I went to the dentist yeaterday who says I don t have enough space but all my 4 wisdom teeth are completely out but she said I can wait, no hurry to take them out. I am suffering from hypothyroid since a year now with the TSH levels up and down. But these days I feel my thyroid swollen. What can I do?

Hi,
If your TSH levels are fluctuating my be your thyroid disease is progressing or more commonly the medication (thyroxine) is not taken regularly. If your thyroid is swollen you should go and get your TSH checked. Your TSH has to be brought below 3 Miu/L.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help

With warm regards,

Dr Ajish TP (MD,DM)
