What Can Be Done For High Blood Pressure And Swollen Legs?

I have high blood pressure, I went to the beach 4 days ago. Now my legs are swollen the pain i was having is lessen, i could barely walk two days ago. What is happening to me? I have been taking inflamatory pills it helps with the pressure in my legs.

Dear patient,

There are many causes of leg swelling, but the most common is venous insufficiency with varicose veins; these tend to manifest in a more intense way in warm weather as the veins dilate; leg elevations and compression bandages can help. Medication side effects are possible, but there are also dreaded causes that warrant an examination by a provider such as clots in the legs.
