What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Letrozole Tablets?

Hi My gynecologist prescribed me Letrozole for infertility. I don t get my period regularly (or often) so she told me if I don[ t get my period I should start letrozole and take it daily for 7 days. If I do end up getting my period I should wait until day 3 and then only take it daily for 5 days. I wasn t on my period so I ended up starting the pill on Sunday Jan 19. However last night (day 2) I started getting cramps and light bleeding and this morning I have a heavy period. Is this normal to get my period in the middle of my 7 day pill cycle? Should I continue the cycle and finish all 7 days and then proceed as per the doctors instructions?

Hello
Before taking any decision please read this carefully :
Letrozole is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor was used for OVULATION induction in patients with PCOS resistant to clomifene ( you didn't mention whether , you have tried clomifene or not tried , if not tried then take clomifiene , if tried then think about letrozole).
Though effective , it is NOT APPROVED for ovulation induction because it may cause foetal malformation .
So in my opinion before any decision , please consult one more gynecologist or another infertility specialist .
Because this is a question of fetus malformation ,so I mentioned these information.
Good luck.
