What Are The Treatments For UTI?

my fourteen year old granddaughter has had urinary tract infection for weeks, fever, back pain trouble when she breaths, has to pee, but only small amounts at a time, they found e-coli what can she do to get rid of it? besides antibiotics her mother is taking her to a kidney specialist

I have gone through your query.With proper therapy urinary tract infection will get over in 1 to 2 weeks.Antibiotics should be taken according to her urine culture and sensitivity.It should be taken for the full course.If not given proper therapy it will recur and even infect kidneys.Cranberry juice and barley water helps alkalanize urine which helps.She can use intimate wash for getting the proper microbial flora after the antibiotic therapy.It helps not to get further infections.Hope this may help you.
