Since atypia is not present, you have many more treatment options. Medication, particularly a prolonged course of progesterone or synthetic progestin should mature and thin the lining of the womb. Duration is more important than dose. There is also an indwelling IUD containing progestin, Mirena, which could be considered. After treatment repeat biopsy and ultrasound are indicated, and then repeated annually for a few years, or if bleeding recurs. Some women do not like the idea of prolonged observation and request more definitive treatment, which would mean a simple hysterectomy. Approach is not important (robotic, laparoscopic, vaginal). Any would do the job, but surgery for this condition is a hammer approach when a fly swatter might do.
