What Are The Symptoms Of Peripheral Neuropathy?

I think i have peripheral neuropathy. Did emg conductive test back and spine MRI. Waiting on results of brain MRI ( but dr said he would call asap if they found something there and they haven t) and blood tests including checking for autoimmune. But it s all on one side of my body. Foot leg arm and face which is really scaring me. Worst right now is numbness in my face. All right side. I don t drink that much and I m reading that this is caused a lot by alcohol. But can t find any reasons why only on one side and my neurologists didn t have a guess either

Hi,

In fact, this does not look like peripheral neuropathy. Peripheral neuropathy generally produce numbness in hands and feet and not to one side. Involvement of the face also make it less likely to be a problem in the spinal cord.

The only thing likely would be, either some problem in the brain (thalamus) can produce symptoms on one side of body. We should wait for the MRI brain report. Sometimes this can be related to anxiety. However let's see the report of MRI.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
