Hi,first to tell you there are many reasons for the chest pain
hence its is better to consut doctor as early as possible and undergo the basic investigations such as ecg,stress
tests,echo to rule out underlying heart conditions,usually chest pain caused due to heart attack
causes lot of sweating like your husbands episode hence please be careful and prevent next attack
chest pain is caused by condtions such as panic attak,gastric ulcers
or deodenal ulcers,might be due to musculoskelteal pain hence i advise you to consukt your physician to rule out the chest pain due to underlying heart condition
chest pain due to heart abnormality might cause pain which is intolerable which doesnt subside with the pain medications,will have breathing diffficulties during the episode,it might also correlate to your husbands exercise tolerance thats is breathing difficulty and also profuse sweating
during this episode,he also might have pain in the left arm which is radiating.
chest pain due to other conditions will have pain related to the meal pain might subside or increase during or after the meal which might be relieved by the antacids
hence i strongly suggest you to take your husband to a physcian and undergo investigations as early as possible and take the appropriate medications.
