What Are The Symptoms Of Bi-polar Syndrome?

hi i really dont have a question just a comment. today watching the family of the woman with bipolar and how she was it made me cry. my son was diagnosed with rapid bipolar when he was 20. he is 33. it has been hell. he drinks, he did do drugs, hes done it all and ive been right there with him. his life is not good. the medication has made him sick. im not sure he ever got the right diagnosis. what dr phil did today for that woman sending her to have her hormones etc. all check then treatment was awesome. derek has been locked up so many times he really doesnt care if he lives or not but he tries. are there programs that can get my son in those places? i dont have money to do it. i kept up for many yrs. but im old now and sick myself.
it would be something if dr phil could sit and talk to derek. he helps so many people.

We understand your concerns

I went through your details. Bipolar disorder is an almost permanent condition. It goes through unpredictable course of hyperactivity and depression. If left untreated, these ups and downs can be truly troubling. Early diagnosis and treatment can help in management.

Successful treatment of bipolar disorder depends on a combination of factors. Medication alone is not enough. In order to get the most out of treatment, it's important to educate yourself about the illness, communicate with your doctors and therapists, have a strong support system, make healthy lifestyle choices, and stick to your treatment plan.
