Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I think I may have a prolapsed bladder. I have lots of pelvic pressure and discomfort, incomplete voiding, frequent urination, some discomfort and mild pain during intercourse, and when I strain for any reason I experience a sensation as if something is trying to push it s way out of my vaginal opening. While I was trying to pass a bowel movement ( I am frequently constipated ) I felt as if something was protruding out of my vaginal opening so I grabbed a little mirror to take a look and I noticed there was a bulge in my vaginal opening so I inserted my fingers to examine it and it felt ball like and was very tender. Should I go to the ER or schedule an appointment with a GYN tomorrow morning?
As per your description, it seems to have bladder polyp which is protruding in vagina and due to accumulation of urine in polyp incomplete and frequent urination problems are there.
Consult the surgeon as surgical treatment is only option for this condition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
